I am looking to sell as I no longer have sufficient time to sail her with work and home commitments. She is in fantastic condition and I would welcome anyone interested to come and see her. The hull is mahogany planks with oak ribs. A completed extensive renovation replacing with new oak ribs, king post and Sampson post was made in 2012. She has been dry stored over the winters, as such she is in very good condition. She has a spruce mast which is also in very good condition and she looks spectacular on the water. She has 3 sets of sails, oars, floatation bags/rollers, and a canvas boom up cover - all in very good condition. Also included in the sale is a combination trailer with the larger 10inch road wheels which tows very well, and spare wheel and lighting board included. THIS SALE ABROGATED AS NEW OWNER ESTABLISHED THAT THE KEEL WAS ROTTEN UNDERNEATH THE EPOXY SKIN.

" I bought 259 but the keel is rotten, something that did not show until the paint was removed and to put it right would cost between 5 and 6000. I have made a deal with the guy I bought it from but I am fairly certain that he had been caught out as well, you would not have known about the state of the hull unless you stripped the paint and found the fibreglass under neath, that is until the bottom dropped out. " |
